Community of Rural LGBTIQA+ Practice Workshop
Calling all regional, rural and remote LGBTIQA+ people, allies and curious others. This is a unique opportunity for us to meet, gather and share your experiences of what’s working, what’s not and what could be in communities outside the big smoke. Since 2013, Rural Pride Australia, formerly NICHE Australia, has been partnering with LGBTIQA+ people in regional, rural and remote communities to make them safer, more supportive, welcoming and inclusive, including in Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia and Queensland. Find out what’s happening, what’s not and what we could do collectively – how we can be better together. Since 2016, Rural Pride Australia has partnered the Commissioners for LGBTIQ+ Communities and the Victorian State Government to deliver the LGBTIQ Equality Roadshow, Regional Community of LGBTIQ Practice gatherings and the Rainbow Ready roadmap.
